The 2007 version of the NYT annual year in ideas is as entertaining and useful as always. Here everyone can find their personal favourites and catch up on the brilliant ideas and trends they overlooked during the year (at least one idea was noted here — wikiscanning).
Earth2marsh’s photo of Chengdu above was found after reading the entry on fake tilt-shift photography. (and of course the photo is published under a Creative Commons license.)
Another idea in the spirit of this blog was the New Zealand police’s adoption of mob jurisprudence in its police act wiki.
There are ideas that are useful in daily life and some that are less so, but still fascinating.
And then there are the ideas that just sound beautiful.
Al Gore has surely contributed to the world of ideas over the past 7 years.
