The new papyrus

“Blog to reflect, Tweet to connect.” It appears that blogging is the new papyrus. Or even more archaic. Compared with Twitter and Facebook, “a traditional blogging program like WordPress can feel downright glacial.” I particularly loved this:

Some slow bloggers like to push the envelope of their readers’ attention even further. Academics post lengthy pieces about literature and teaching styles, while techies experiment to see how infrequently they can post before readers desert them.

A while ago I quoted a blogger who mulled the need for a slow blogging movement, but of course one existed already. (tip: mymarkup).
